Similar to Survival and Till Death Do Us Part, this piece is made using a process inspired from the Japanese arts of Kintsugi. Unlike the other two artworks, the crockery held no sentimental value for the artist and was a standard kitchen plate used for everyday purposes. The work comments on our tendency to discard everything that no longer serves a purpose, with little consideration for where our waste ends up, as well as little consideration for the possibility of repair, reuse and reimagining.
